Nancy assisted with the organization of President Barak Obama's Town Hall Meeting with French and German citizens during the NATO Summit in Strasbourg, France on April 3, 2009. Also in this category of new postings is a small set of historic Albanian photos from the Marubi Phototek in Shkoder, Albanian. They show the beauty and diversity of the Albanian people in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Albania
Enjoy photos of the county in which we currently live. We are thoroughly enjoying opportunities to explore this small country in the southern Balkans.
Romania
This category displays many photos of the beautiful monasteries of northeast Romania in the Moldavia/Bucovina region. Nancy visited this region over Labor Day 2007. The region is scattered with brightly, intricately painted monasteries commissioned in the 1500's. The frescoes cover both the interiors and exteriors of these churches. We were delighted by the charming cottages and barns in this region, too. We saw as many horse carts as cars as we toured the area. .

Azerbaijan
Enjoy our many photos taken during the two years we lived in Azerbaijan (2003 - 2005). Azerbaijan is located in the Caucasus Region of the world -- south of Russia, east of Turkey, north of Iran, on the Caspian Sea. The Azerbaijanis are friendly and hospitable, and we discovered many ancient Christan monasteries, old mosques and fortresses.
Uzbekistan
Enjoy photos we are taking while we live in Uzbekistan, a Central Asian country rich in history and beautiful Islamic architecture.
Atlanta
Atlanta is a fun city to visit and we enjoyed watching the children play in the Olympics Fountain on a hot August afternoon. We went to the zoo and the Cyclorama and Civil War Museum -- besides the International Woodworking Trade Show!
